Cheviot Hills Territory

Cheviot Hills is a neighborhood composed of single-family homes in the Westside. With a population of over 11,800, the area is known for its filming in movies and TV shows due to its location between Fox Studios and Sony Pictures.

The area was founded in 1924 and was originally middle class with homes starting at $50,000 in 1926. Monte Mar Vista, an affluent part of Cheviot Hills, developed between 1926 and 1940.

The neighborhood consists of long-term families and start-up families. The area features the Cheviot Hills Park, the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, the Cheviot Hills Tennis Courts, and the Rancho Park Golf Course, as well as two private country clubs.

Three schools near the area include Overland Avenue Elementary School, Vista School, and Lycée Français de Los Angeles.
